Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding

Ingredients:
Six cups cubed french bread, challa or brioche
4 eggs
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
3 cups cream
I cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 Bananas
Six ounces good quality chocolate, roughly chopped


Preparation:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk eggs, cream and milk. Add brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Stir in cubed bread and let sit. Chop bananas and saute with butter for a few minutes, add one tablespoon brown sugar, cook one more minute. When cool add to bread mixture along with chocolate and melted butter. Pour into a buttered casserole pan and cook for one hour or until top is crispy and golden brown.

Let cool slightly and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

We were the first consumer sof Annie's bread pudding and wow! it was great. We'll never have birthday cake again!

Siciliano is deeply upset he missed that fabulous meal, but commends all involved in honoring the matriarch of la famiglia with a special recipe that truly "takes the cake." I love the role-reversal with mamma cutting bread, taking orders (lovable orders) from YouChef Anna Banana! Superb! Can you airship a piece to me?
